Inside Project Stonefield

If there is one phrase that dictates the rhythm of a busy modern family, it’s this: A place for everything, and everything in its place. At Studio Garrison, we believe that luxury isn’t just about the marble you choose; it’s about the friction you remove from your Tuesday morning. For Project Stonefield, our mission was to take a home burdened by heavy, outdated finishes and reimagined it through the lens of intentionality. By layering a soft taupe foundation with striking navy accents, rich walnut, and antique brass, we transformed a cluttered floor plan into a high-performance sanctuary. Here is how we brought Project Stonefield to life.

The Kitchen: A Masterclass in High-Capacity Flow

The original kitchen suffered from the "angled peninsula" era, a layout that trapped the cook and invited clutter. We stripped away the bulky cabinetry to create a crisp, flush-inset perimeter grounded by a custom walnut island that serves as the home’s command center.

The Strategy: Invisible Efficiency

Dual-Zone Cleaning: We integrated two Miele dishwashers, a 24" workhorse for family dinners and an 18" specialist dedicated solely to the morning coffee and smoothie cycle.

The "Docking" Drawer: No more "tech-tangle" on the Mont Blanc Quartzite. We installed integrated outlets inside drawers to keep devices charged and out of sight.

The Entertaining Bar: From "Catch-All" to Showstopper

Every home has that one "dead zone." Here, it was a built-in desk that had become a graveyard for mail and junk. We pivoted this space into a sophisticated wet bar designed for the serious entertainer.

To create a sense of mood, we opted for a deep navy palette paired with Artistic Tile’s metallic gold limestone. But the real luxury is behind the cabinet faces: we customized the lower drawers to a specific 14 ½” height to accommodate oversized spirit bottles, flanked by a 146-bottle wine refrigerator.

The Hidden Pantry: The Engine Room

We believe the "show kitchen" should stay beautiful even while dinner is being prepped. To achieve this, we moved the heavy-lifting appliances—the steam and speed ovens—into a walk-in pantry.

Designer’s Note: A pantry shouldn't feel like a closet. We treated this space as a "jewel box," wrapping it in a navy wainscot and the iconic Morris & Co. "Bramble" wallpaper.

Take a look inside the 'engine room.' Notice the heavy-duty lift for the stand mixer and the specialized wire drawers that make grocery day a breeze.

The Mudroom: A Dedicated Suite for Ruby

The transition from the garage to the home is often the most chaotic. At Project Stonefield, we transformed the laundry pass-through into a "Drop Zone" that accounts for every family member, including the four-legged ones.

The "Ruby’s Room" Concept:

The family dog, Ruby, previously lived in a plastic crate that blocked the walkway. Our solution?

The Built-in Retreat: A custom sleeping crate integrated into the cabinetry with Old English wire mesh.

The Canine Spa: A raised, fully tiled dog shower with a multi-function hand shower and a grooming hook.

Beauty Meets Bravery

Project Stonefield proves that a renovation is successful only when it resolves daily friction. It’s the result of deeply analyzing how a family moves, where they drop their keys, and how they drink their coffee.

At Studio Garrison, we don't just decorate spaces; we design the way you live within them.
