Studio Garrison reimagined this 1970s Portland home overlooking Elk Rock Island, transforming its compartmentalized, multi-level layout into a fluid, view-focused sanctuary. We removed barriers between the sunken living room and tiered dining area, introducing expansive windows and sliders to frame the natural beauty. A bold cantilevered deck extends living space outdoors, while the redefined kitchen—crafted for culinary excellence—features bespoke zones for cooking and entertaining. Honored by local chefs, this luxe yet functional space now celebrates seamless indoor-outdoor living, proving even timeworn layouts can evolve into timeless, joy-filled destinations.
